Botanical artist Halina Steele will help you create an illustration of a botanical specimen from the Lanyon Homestead gardens in this unique workshop experience during Bloom Festival. Participants will be guided through watercolour methods and be given an understanding of the structure of the plant to develop the illustration into a beautiful work of art.
This workshop is for beginners and intermediate levels from 16 years and up. Familiarity with watercolours is required. Participants will be given a list of necessary materials to bring prior to the workshop. If all materials need to be purchased, anticipate costing between $100 - $200 depending on the quality of paints.
Part of ACT Historic Places' Bloom Festival at Lanyon Homestead, Mugga Mugga Cottage and Calthorpes House.
